1991On July 21, 1992, the most important day of my life, my lovely daughter was born, Sofia Amelia Campopiano.
1991Development Director for Artifex Alternative Arts Museum. In this temporary position I helped a one-year-old alternative space set up a development program. I organized a Board of Directors, filed for their nonprofit status, organized their bookkeeping, and applied for three grants, which were received.
1983-1984Developer of "Criticism & the Art Market," a series of ten monthly articles designed to pull together a historical context for local criticism and a budding art market. These articles lead to a largely-expanded critical dialogue and the blossoming of the Minneapolis Warehouse Gallery District.
1984-1987Developer of "Forum," a critical supplement in Artpaper, funded jointly by the Jerome, Bush and Northwest Area Foundation. This program marked the beginning of serious critical dialogue in the Twin Cities' art community.
1980-1988Co-founder and development director of the Visual Arts Information Service, publisher of Artpaper. In this position I was responsible for all income--foundation, corporate, earned and inkind. In the first three years we established Artpaper as an integral part of the visual-arts community with news and information and a solid fiscal foundation.
